Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Anchorage, Alaska. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project has been awarded to Swalling General Contractors. Estimated Project Amount: $5,000,000 - $10,000,000 Final Completion: All work shall be completed by May 15, 2023. ARRC will identify interim completion dates, if any, in the Special Provisions. Funding: Bridge 25.4 is funded by ARRC internal funds. Bridge 25.7 is funded under a Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety improvements (CRISI) Grant. Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation to the meeting location. Attendees should plan on being at the meet location by 11:00 a.m. A representative of the ARRC will conduct a safety briefing and will provide an escort onto ARRC property for the site visit. Hardhats, safety vests, protective footwear, safety glasses will be required, and must be supplied by attendees. A bidder's failure to attend the pre-bid conference will in no way relieve the bidder of the responsibility of performing the work in strict compliance with the true intent and meaning of the terms, conditions and specifications of this ITB. ARRC reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, negotiate changes in bids, accept any bids or any part thereof, waive minor informalities or defects in any bids, and not to award the proposed contract if it is in the best interest of the ARRC. Any resulting contract from this Invitation to Bid shall incorporate the Standard Instructions, and General Terms and Conditions incorporated in this Invitation to Bid. This Invitation to Bid is not to be construed as a commitment of any kind nor does it commit the ARRC to pay for any costs incurred in the submission of an offer or for any other incurred cost prior to the execution of a formal contract Bidder/contractor imposed terms and conditions which conflict with this Invitation to Bid terms and conditions are considered counter offers and, as such, will cause the Alaska Railroad Corporation to consider the bid non-responsive. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE CAUTIONED TO PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THIS CLAUSE.
