Site work for a water / sewer project in Bismarck, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

All bids will be submitted to the City Administrator (PO Box 5503, Bismarck, ND 58506-5503) or otherwise deposited with the City Administrator (221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, ND 58501) and shall be sealed and endorsed "Bismarck Water Treatment Plant Filters 1-6 Face Piping Replacement and 12 MGD Accelator Effluent Pipe Improvements". If a bid is to be faxed, the bid must be sent to a bidder's agent independent of the City of Bismarck, placed in a sealed envelope, labeled according to this specification, and delivered to the office of the City Administrator prior to the bid deadline. In light of the COVID-19 epidemic, the City would like to protect you and City staff as much as possible. The City is offering the ability to appear at the bid opening via video/audio on Microsoft Teams, in addition to appearing in person. There is no charge for this. If you wish to appear virtually at the bid opening, please send your email address to gnicholson@bismarcknd.gov no later than 3:00 p.m. on the bid opening day. Project Estimated Value is $3 to $3.5 million The Project includes, but is not limited to, the following work: A. Filters 1-6 Face Piping Replacement: 1. All labor, equipment, materials, and services necessary to perform the work of replacing the filter face piping, including fittings, manual valves, electric operated valves, meters, and differential pressure sensors. Includes 14" Filter Backwash Supply Piping, 16" Filter Backwash Waste Piping, 8" Filter Effluent Piping, 6" Filter-to-Waste Piping, and 6" Surface Wash Supply Piping. 2. Electrical and Controls associated with the motor operated valves, instrumentation and controls. Portions of SCADA programming are to be completed by the Owner. This includes receiving signals and displaying the information on the City's system. Contractor is required to provide and route control wiring to establish specified control loops. 3. Installation of new Insulation over all new piping. 4. Replacement of the section of surface wash piping and fittings inside the filters that are cast-iron with stainless steel. 5. Cleaning each 16-inch filter influent pipe. 6. New 2" potable water line that will extend the full length of Filters 1 -6 piping gallery. 7. Coat/Recoat the influent channel to Filters 1-6. 8. Cleanup, any building restoration, and all other miscellaneous work required, not herein mentioned, but inferred from the construction contracts. B. 12 MGD Accelator Effluent Pipe Improvements: 1. All labor, equipment, materials, and services necessary to perform the work of replacing the 30" effluent pipe with a 36" effluent pipe. 2. Replacement of the butterfly valve on the effluent pipe. 3. Installation of air release devices. 4. Installation of new Insulation over new piping. 5. Cleanup, any building restoration, and all other miscellaneous work required, not herein mentioned, but inferred from the construction contracts. BID DOCUMENTS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD.
