The Project consists of installing one (1) new Owner-furnished 400KW generator with sub-base fuel tank and providing and installing two (2) new automatic transfer switches (600 amp and 800 amp); connecting one transfer switch to the new generator and connecting one transfer switch to the existing 350KW generator. Work includes providing and installing service connections, coordinating delivery of owner-provided generator, concrete pads, conduit, and sub-main distribution panel; relocating security fencing, selective demolition of asphalt as necessary to accommodate concrete mounting pads and removal and disposal of existing transfer switch. The time to complete this project is Ninety (90) calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed Questions: Except for questions offered at the mandatory pre-bid meeting, questions about this bid package, including questions regarding plans and specifications, as well as omission, discrepancy, conflict, error, ambiguity or need for interpretation or clarification, shall be submitted by registered plan holders no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8 l 2022., to the Project Coordinator via email. Answers to questions, including official addendums, will be provided by the Project Coordinator via email by Monday, August 15, 2022. Any interpretations, clarifications, correction of error or changes in requirements shall be issued in the form of an addendum provided by the Project Coordinator via email to registered plan holders. A Bid Bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the County, cash, or a cashiers check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the County of Lake, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the County for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work.
