Renovation of a municipal facility in Grand Junction, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project work will include safeguarding a total of 28 adits and 5 subsidence features. Closure methods will include backfill, polyurethane foam, bulkhead, and cable nets. Some features will include bat compatible grates or otherwise require bat exclusions prior to backfill or bulkhead. The uranium mine closure Safety, Health and Environmental Action Plan requirements will be applied. Project Location : The Carpenter Ridge Flats Ridge Project is located in Montrose County approximately 31 miles north of Naturita and 80 miles south of Grand Junction, Colorado. The main project access is from Highway 141 and Montrose County Road R13. Note there are sites located from Atkinson Mesa to Paradox Valley along various Montrose County roads.
