Renovation of an educational facility in Grand Junction, Colorado. Working plans call for the renovation of a 2,638-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.
The Board of Trustees of Colorado Mesa University (CMU) is seeking a qualified Design/Build firm or team to provide Design, Preconstruction and Construction services for the Maverick Hospitality House Project. CMU currently owns residential property in the Grand Junction Colorado neighborhood of 7th Street and North Avenue. The home is a two-story structure with an unfinished basement, approximately 2,638 sf to include 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Actual year built is 1909, with a remodel occurring in 2010. The University intends to renovate the existing structure to be the Maverick Hospitality House; which could serve entire wedding parties, visiting faculty and guests. Serving as a Bed and Breakfast style rental with each bedroom having an accommodating restroom to allow visitors to rent the entire home, or each room separately. The renovation includes an upgraded kitchen to be sophisticated enough to house a reasonably large event (15-20), but still able to accommodate smaller parties in a welcoming way.
