WHI Boiler Installation. Question Cutoff Date: 8/1/2022 05:00 PM (ET) This Project has been estimated to cost approximately $160,000.00. UNLV FM seeks proposals for installation of two boilers, controls, and associated equipment additions to WHI to serve the heating hot water needs of the Vivarium (WHA-3). The scope of work and materials includes providing and installing two boilers, all associated ancillary equipment, and controls for a complete operational package in the boiler room of WHI as well as applicable testing and balancing, training, and commissioning The project shall include: 1. All equipment and materials shall meet all UNLV standards and guidelines. Any deviation from UNLV's standards shall require an approved Design Standards Waiver Request. All equipment proposed must be readily available and free of proprietary restrictions except where compatibility with an existing system takes precedence. 2. All materials, equipment, and systems shall meet all applicable codes and regulations, including, but not limited to, those of the State of Nevada and Clark County jurisdictions. The construction contractors shall obtain all necessary state and local permits, if any are required, to perform this work. 3. Provide and install two boilers, 2,000,000 Btu/hour capacity each, and all ancillary equipment, piping modifications, and controls necessary to comprise a complete, operational system upon final acceptance. New hot water pumps shall be sized for gpm matching recommended boiler flow and 80 feet head. Equipment submittals will be submitted to FM personnel for approval and confirmation of equipment sizing and selections. 4. The controls package shall include measures to automatically start and operate this system during emergencies when heating hot water supply from SEP is unavailable. Alert messaging shall be coordinated with Vivarium occupants and FM controls shop. Integration and compatibility of the controls with existing controls systems is required. 5. Energy efficiency shall be part of the equipment selection process. All equipment shall comply with applicable energy efficiency guidelines and codes. 6. Testing and balancing and commissioning of all installed equipment and controls shall be included. 7. Training requirements for all equipment and systems which includes a minimum of four (4) hours of classroom and in-person training and demonstration of proper operations for owner's personnel provided by factory-certified trainers shall be included. 8. Include sampling and remediation of hazardous materials such as asbestos as needed. 9. Owner's Manuals and other pertinent documentation shall be provided in electronic format before final completion, commissioning, and acceptance. 10.Provide a complete set of redline electronic documents after construction is complete
