It is the intent of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (Commission) to establish a Contract for Structural Concrete Services with a qualified Contractor, licensed to perform construction in Maryland (Contractor). Structural Concrete Services may include restoration and maintenance activities requested on an as needed basis for the Facilities Maintenance Division (FMD). Contractor shall be required to perform Structural Concrete Services at any Commission facility located within Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, Maryland. The service at Commission facilities may be above or below ground, and on grade or suspended at or within Commission treatment plants, remote facilities, depots, and office buildings. Structural Concrete Services include, but are not limited to, surface prep, cleaning, layout, grading, leveling and plumbing, forming, reinforcing, pouring, placement, finishing, curing, cutting, coring, sawing, grinding, removal, hauling, disposal, shoring, patching, covering, and repairing. Structural Concrete Services may be applied to components such as slabs, flatwork, sidewalk, dams, curved and straight walls, beams and lintels, pipes, stairs, suspended roofs and decks, columns, and other members of reinforced precast and cure-in-place construction.
