This event is to bid for a one-time purchase for TN Department of Environment & Conservation. Contractor shall furnish all materials and equipment necessary for the replacement of the existing main entry doors and removal of the existing window and construction of a new doorway and sidewalk. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL MEASUREMENTS. The contractor is to remove the existing window facing the suspension bridge. Contractor shall construct a wall at the exterior wall of the building where the window was removed, with a door opening. The measurements of the new doors are to be 8 ft 8 in wide x 7 ft 2 in high. The framing shall be 2x6 lumber and constructed according to building codes. The new exterior wall shall be sheathed with 5/8" plywood, wrapped with vapor barrier, and finished to match the existing wall, which is stucco. The interior wall area where the window is currently located will be finished to match the existing wall. The existing main entry door shall be removed and replaced with a new double entry door. A new double entry door will be installed to replace the existing window where the new doorway has been made. The new doors will match the doors at the Visitor Center. The new doors shall be Glass Store Front #6070 Bronze, Stanley M Force, or equal. This shall be for the existing main door and the door to replace the existing window.
