Both tenants perform work (from daily to occasionally) which requires the use of exhausted laboratory equipment (fume hoods, snorkels and canopies). Following the most recent study completed by Preston Phipps in 2021, it was confirmed that the laboratories were not meeting the criteria outlined in ANSI Z9.5 Laboratory Ventilation (100% fresh air and 100% exhausted air for laboratories). The various Air Handling Units identified used a certain amount of laboratory air in recirculation. The fume hoods, specifically the VAV set up, are not meeting MD15128-2013 performance criteria. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
