General Scope of Work: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and incidentals necessary to replace multiple cedar shake roofs at Garner State Park. The multiple roofs included in the project are the Park Pavilion and Cabins numbered as 1, 2, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18. Work on each roof includes demolition, carpentry, painting and wood shake roofing. Phase 1 consists of replacing the roof on the Park Pavilion. Anticipating of Notice to Proceed will be issued no later than January 16, 2024 and excepting any allowable and approved contract time extensions affecting the Park Pavilion roof progress, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department requires this Phase 1/Park Pavilion roof replacement be substantially complete and ready for Owner occupancy by May 15, 2024. Phase 2 consists of replacing roofs on Cabins numbered as 1, 2, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18. The Cabin roofs shall be completed within the total contract performance period; the three hundred (300) calendar days commencing on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Proposals exceeding $25,000.00 must be accompanied by a copy of the offeror's bid bond, certified check or cashier's check drawn to the order of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal (including total of all separate priced items for one or more projects proposed on and multiple base pricing items and/or alternate price items and/or optional pricing and/or allowances). Therefore, to ensure adequate bid security, offerors should calculate bid security based on the highest possible monetary award. Certified checks and cashier checks must be originals. No other forms of bid security or checks will be accepted. Proposals will be rejected if the appropriate security is not furnished in the form specified above and by the time set receipt of proposals. Bid security for the successful offeror will be returned following execution of the contract and submission of satisfactory bonds and insurance. If the successful offeror fails to return the signed contract (and bonds and certificate of insurance when required) within the time specified, the bid security may be forfeited not as a penalty but as liquidated damages. Bid security from all Offerors may be retained by Owner until a contract is executed. CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATE range is: $675,000.00 to $750,000.00.
