The scope of work shall generally include the replacement of the inoperable Foxboro water meter with a turbine style meter, complete with totalizer. Work shall also include modification of the return piping, to be routed on the exterior of the building to enter between the reservoir wall and building support footing. This will require an excavation, connection to existing main, thrust blocking, and cap of the reservoir piping. The upstand piping shall be insulated with 200 mm thick rigid insulation below grade and will include a turbine style meter and bypass valving within the building enclosure. The return to the reservoir would be accomplished by a new core through the existing concrete floor, globe valve for throttling return flows, and a sample port for testing and return temperature monitoring. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all quotations and will not necessarily accept the lowest price.
