Renovation of a mixed-use development in Northport, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

PROJECT NO. 632-22-132, Replace Revolving Door in Building 200N. This Project will replace the existing revolving door with a new revolving door as well as provide interior renovations to the existing main building vestibule, in Bldg. No. 200 at the Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work for renovation of existing space located at the first floor of Building 200 as required by the drawings and specifications. All demolition and alteration work to be phased to ensure work is not to impede the normal traffic flow and proper egress paths are maintained. Work includes demolition, general construction, alterations to interiors finishes, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and electrical, etc. work as shown on the bid documents. Electrical work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required electrical construction work on this project including replacement of lighting fixtures, power modifications for new revolving door and power to new HVAC units as indicated on the drawings. HVAC work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required HVAC construction work on this project including replacement of existing HVAC units. Plumbing work includes modification to existing plumbing system as shown on the drawings. Fire protection work includes modification to existing sprinklers and piping as shown on the drawings. Work includes all other items as required by the drawings and specifications. Work needed to be performed outside of normal business hours from 8:00am-4:30pm should be included in bid proposals. The contract completion time is 300 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. This contract does not involve VA sensitive information and contractor personnel do not require access to VA systems. Information made available to the contractor or subcontractor by VA for the performance or administration of this contract or information developed by the contractor/subcontractor in performance or administration of the contract shall be used only for those purposes and shall not be used in any other way without the prior written agreement of VA. This is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside procurement. All prospective offerors must be registered in SAM (www.sam.gov) under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 236220, Unique Entity ID (www.Sam.gov) and are verified/visible/certified in VetBiz (www.vetbiz.va.gov) at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement. Offerors must submit the annual Vets-4212 Report. The NAICS is 236220 and Business Size is $16.5 Million. Magnitude of Construction: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Instructions for Pre-Bid Site Visit and Bid Opening are located on page 5 of this solicitation. FAR Part 36.209 Construction contracts with architect-engineer firms. No contract for the construction of a project be awarded to the firm that designed the project or its subsidiaries or affiliates. NOTE: CONTRACTORS MUST ACKNOWLEDGE ALL SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS. ** Contractor shall complete clause 52.225-2 Buy America Certificate. ** Contractors shall complete clause 852.219-77 VA Notice of Limitations on Subcontracting and submit with the bid.
