The project involves excavation/filling to create a building pad, placement of crushed stone for beneath the building floor, swale construction, culvert placement, paving of the building drive/apron and associated erosion and sediment control measures. Sealed bids must be clearly marked: DPW Building Excavation and Paving Project Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. Prospective bidders are urged to familiarize themselves with the site and review the scope of work and construction documents. Any contractor who does not do so and submits a bid does so at his own risk. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids.
