The Borough of Oakland seeks experienced River Restoration General Contractors who specialize in river restoration work to submit prequalification statements for the: Ramapo River Restoration Project Borough of Oakland, Bergen County, New Jersey 07436 The project generally consists of the following: 1. Mobilization and Demobilization; 2. Maintenance, removal, and/or relocation of soil erosion and sedi ment control measures; 3. Construction, maintenance, and/or removal of access roads, including cleaning of adjacent roadways as directed by the Borough of Oakland; 4. Excavation, handling, dewatering, testing, removal, and disposal of stream sediments and rocks; 5. Removal of downed trees; 6. Stream restoration using a combination of non-structural and struc tural methods using native river stone. This work will be in accordance with the project bidding documents. River Restoration General Contractors whose Qualification Statements are determined to be acceptable will be identified as Qualified Prospective Bidders. Each respondent will be notified in writing of the determination. The Borough of Oakland will issue bid proposal forms, drawings, and project manuals including specifications only to Qualified Prospective Bidders, Only bids received from previously Qualified Bidders will be opened. A Qualified Prospective Bidder is not obligated to submit a bid.
