Work at 2 different areas (approximately 7,500 square feet per floor) of the building includes. Demolition/removal Portions of Gypsum Board Walls, Vinyl Wall coverings, Ceilings Panels, Flooring, Casework, Accessories, Plumbing Fixtures and Electrical Lights as maybe be necessary. Remodel 4 Toilet rooms to comply with Michigan Barrier Free Design Rules. Provide new Steel Stud and Gypsum Board walls, Doors, Frames, Hardware, Acoustical Ceilings Panels, Flooring, Casework, Lighting, Power and HVAC. Modify HVAC, Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression System as may be necessary. Paint all Walls, Doors, Frames in the project area Timeline: Work is anticipated to begin on or around November 15, 2022 and be completed no later than February 28, 2024. Staff will remain in the building during the renovations. The deadline for submitting final questions is no later than 3:00 P.M. on August 24, 2022. If an addendum is required, it will be issued after this date. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Guarantee shall be in the form of a bid bond executed by an approved surety company, made payable to the County of Ingham. Bid guarantee shall run for a period of not less than ninety (90) days. If the successful proposer fails to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates within ten (10) business days after receipt of Notice of Award, such guarantee shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. It is the policy of Ingham County to require the payment of prevailing wages on any construction contract exceeding $10,000 as determined by using the wage guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Secretary of Labor pursuant to the Davis-Bacon Act. Any proposal that is in excess of $50,000.00, if awarded, will be required to provide 100 percent (100%) of the contract amount coverage in Performance Bond and Payment Bond as required by Public Act 1963, No. 213. The bond must be with surety companies satisfactory to Ingham County and who are listed in the Federal Register as published by the U.S. Department of Treasury under the most recently revised Circular 570. In addition, each surety company shall be admitted and licensed to do business in the State of Michigan by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth Office of Finance and Insurance and have a minimum A.M. Best Company's Insurance Report Rating of A or A- (Excellent).
