Bids received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. All bids shall be considered valid for sixty (60) days after the bid opening date although not accepted or rejected. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening or before award of contract unless said opening/award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days. The contract includes connecting to the end of an existing 12" diameter C-900 PVC watermain on the east side of highway US-20, and then either boring and jacking or horizontal directional drilling under US-20 and installing a 20" diameter steel casing and new 12" diameter C-900 PVC watermain. This project also includes installation of an additional 450 feet of 12" diameter C-900 watermain terminating at a fire hydrant west of highway US 20. Registration is required to be a bidder/contractor. Bids must be submitted on the supplied forms in a sealed opaque envelope addressed or marked as "City of Ucon Waterline Extension". Each bidder is required to furnish with its bid, bid security in the form of bond, a copy of bidder's current public works license, by a corporation licensed in the State of Idaho in the full amount of the bid price. Performance bonds in the full amount of the contract shall be required from the successful bidder. The successful bidder cannot assign this contract and each prospective bidder will be a licensed public works contractor and equal opportunity employer. The City of Ucon reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities.
