Defence Construction Canada - Request for Abbreviated Proposals for Construction Management Services - Eastern Ontario Campus, Ottawa, Ontario. In accordance with the rules, regulations, statutes, guidelines and the professional associations of the provinces where the project will be carried out, Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is calling for Abbreviated Proposals from Construction Management firms to undertake the construction of the Eastern Ontario Campus in the National Capital Region Ottawa, Ontario using a Construction Management (CM) approach. Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFAP. The objective of this RFAP is to select the proponent with the highest total score. The Security Requirements for this project are identified in the RFAP Documents. The estimated construction cost of this project is in the order of magnitude of $746,000,000.00. The Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) Construction Estimate for this project is $746,000,000.00, of which $705,000,000 is estimated for new construction and $41,000,000 is estimated for renovation. This estimate is provided as a budgetary figure and should not be used as the sole basis for fee calculations. The total gross floor area of new buildings is almost 100,000 m2. Gross floor area of all new building construction totals 99,671 m2. Gross floor area of buildings to be retained as is or renovated totals approximately 13,000 m2 for a total gross floor area of the complex of approximately 112,671 m2. Buildings on the property are, for the most part, one storey in height, and in due course trees will mature to exceed the height of these buildings so that the overall impression of the property will be something akin to a well-designed modern industrial park that considers practical requirements and the need to create a professional working environment that unit members can be proud of. The overall schedule established for the implementation of this project is as follows: - Design: Ongoing, to be completed in phases - Construction: May 2023 - December 2034 The design work for this project is currently being executed by GRC/Cohos Architects in Joint Venture. The site planning and facility design for a multifunctional training and administrative campus is ongoing, with Construction Documents currently being completed for priority phases of the project and will be made available to the Construction Manager as they become available. GRC/Cohos Architects in Joint Venture is the design consultant for the Eastern Ontario Campus Project and will continue to provide consulting services to DCC during the construction phases of this project.
