The County of Monterey Department of Public Works, Facilities, and Parks (PWFP), hereinafter referred to as "County", is soliciting qualification packages from qualified organization(s), hereinafter referred to as "CONTRACTOR(s)", to provide "On-Call" Plumbing Repair and Maintenance Services for County facilities managed by PWFP facilities located in Monterey County, California as outlined within Section 5.0, Scope of Work. The County has a continuous need for on-call plumbing repair and maintenance services at County facilities. The scope of this RFP is limited to regular, reoccurring repair and maintenance work and does not include any work which would be considered a Work of Public Improvement as defined by Labor Code Section 1720. Per California Labor Code Sections 1720 and 1771, repair and maintenance work includes routine, recurring, and usual work for the preservation or protection of any publicly owned or publicly operated facility for its intended purposes, including work performed to keep, operate, and maintain publicly owned water or waste disposal systems. This solicitation is not intended to create an exclusive service AGREEMENT and multiple AGREEMENT awards may be made. County retains the ability, at its sole discretion, to add qualified CONTRACTOR(s) after one (1) year from signing the AGREEMENT. Deadline for Written Questions 3:00 p.m., PST, August 5, 2022
