Demolition, site work and renovation of a civil project in Monaca, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of July 06, 2023 "The project did not receive any bids. We are not likely to go back out for bids at this point." The project involves the demolition of the former lab at the water pumphouse, the renovation of the lab space, and the installation of the new water disinfection system equipment, storage tanks and secondary containment. All questions regarding the project must be sent via email to dsell@widmerengineering.com. All questions and answers will be posted to the bid advertisement page. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Check, Money Order, or Bidder Surety Bond equaling ten (10) percent of the bid amount as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract shall be entered into and its’ performance properly secured. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time set for the bid opening. Bids, whether mailed or delivered in person, shall be sealed and marked "Monaca Water Disinfection System Replacement Project". Upon successful award of the contract, a 100% Performance, 100% Payment and 100% Maintenance Bond shall be required. The minimum wage rates for each craft or classification of all workmen needed to perform each contract during the anticipated term hereof shall be governed by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rate Determination attached to the bidding documents. The Borough of Monaca reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids and to award the contract in the best interest of the Borough.
