As of July 21, 2023, construction is underway, however, an exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids or to award such contract as in its judgment is deemed to be in the best interest of the City. No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the City unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a five percent bid security as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required of the Successful Bidder following award of the Contract by the City. Consideration will be given only to proposals submitted by contractors licensed in the state of North Carolina under the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925 or as amended. The work in this contract consists of construction of a new water booster station (Four Farms Road), demolition of an existing water booster station (Jessup Grove Road), and various process and site improvements at existing water booster stations (Regional Road, McConnell Road and US Highway 70). Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and services required to furnish, install, test and place calcium hypochlorite tablet feed systems into operation as shown and as specified herein. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
