Mid-day and after-hours janitorial services at the West Covina DMV Field Office. Term: November 1, 2022 or upon contract approval, whichever occurs later, through October 31, 2025. See Exhibit A, Scope of Work, for a complete description of services. Bidder Qualifications A. Bidder shall be capable of providing no less than two (2) primary janitorial personnel and two (2) backup janitorial personnel who can pass a fingerprint-based state and federal criminal record check. Note: Prior to approval of the contract, the DMV requires that all of the bidders proposed primary and secondary janitorial staff pass all fingerprint-based state and federal criminal record checks. The successful bidder shall request and purchase all fingerprint-based state and federal criminal record checks from all proposed primary and secondary janitorial personnel at no additional cost to the DMV. B. Bidder shall submit a bid that complies with Government Code Section 19134 if utilizing employees to perform janitorial services or if not meeting Welfare and Institutions Code 19404 (see Attachment 2, Cost Sheet and Exhibit E, Employee Wages and Benefits for additional information). C. Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of Labor Code Sections 1060 - 1065 if awarded the contract (see Exhibit E, Displaced Janitor Opportunity Act (Labor Code Sections 1060 - 1065) for additional information). D. Bidder shall be required to comply with the Property Service Workers Protection Act (Labor Code Sections 1420 - 1434) and shall provide the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) registration number with the bid (see Attachment 1).
