DRAWING NO. W-625 The project consists of constructing approximately 6, 100 linear feet of new 8-inch PVC pipe and 1,700 linear feet of 12-inch PVC pipe to replace undersized 6-inch water mains at Orangewood Avenue, Nearing Drive, Yorkshire Avenue, Poes Street, Mossler Street, Moen Street, and Hopi Road in the unincorporated area of Orange County. This replacement project will also address fire flow deficiencies. The construction includes the installation of new fire hydrants and water service laterals, fittings and appurtenances, trenching, shoring, backfilling, compaction, asphalt repair and replacement, and pipe disinfection and testing. This project will require (but not limited to) protecting existing utilities, coordination with utility owners and customers, traffic control plans, permits and implementation, construction surveying, cutting and capping of existing water mains and service laterals to be abandoned, temporary offsets of the existing water main crossing new water main, water shutdown coordination and notification, water system tie-in/connection locations, demolition and disposal of asbestos cement pipe, traffic striping, traffic loop detector replacement, and appurtenant work. The project may require construction phasing based on unforeseen conflicts/findings and or scheduling with Bryant Elementary School. This project should be complete within one hundred and eighty total working days (180) from the notice to proceed. Engineer's estimate on this project is around $3,457,550 dollars.
