This RFP is an invitation to prospective proponents to submit non-binding proposals for the provision of Exterior Refurbishment Services for 150 Research Lane The Real Estate Division is an ancillary department within the University of Guelph, responsible for the management of University properties both on and off the core campus, including the Research Parks South & North, Retail Areas and some Residential Properties. Some of these buildings are owned by the University; others are on long-term land leases. The Research Park Centre, a multi-tenant commercial building, located at the hub of the Research Park, is one-such building owned and managed by the University of Guelph. In an effort to provide and maintain first-class building space and to attract premium tenants, it is important for the building to present in pristine condition. The first phase of this building - a three level glass & steel structure, was erected in 1991, with the second phase, a two-level structure, built in 1992/93. The building measures approximately 63,000 square feet and is clad in glazed glass and extruded aluminum panels with aluminum mullions separating all panels. The Real Estate Division requires professional refurbishment services on the exterior of this building to remediate sun, weather and age-related damage to all exterior aluminum/steel surfaces including all non-glazed surfaces, window and panel separations, man doors, exterior door fronts, garage door and bollards. The University is looking to refurbish the look of the building, restoring it to its original colour(s) and appearance, to weatherize and extend the lifespan of the building while considering our environment and sustainability. All costs related to equipment and materials will be borne by the successful proponents and included in the rates quoted for this RFP. The term of the agreement is to be for one time services of a non-binding proposal for the provision of Exterior Refurbishment Services for 150 Research Lane The top-ranked proponent at the conclusion of evaluation will be invited to enter into negotiations for an agreement with the University.
