Sealed bids for "Contract 2022-02 Proposed Milling and Resurfacing of Various Streets 2022 in the Village of Pelham Manor, Village of Pelham, and Village of Larchmont" will be received by the Village Clerk of the Village of Pelham Manor, 4 Penfield Place, Pelham Manor, NY 10803.
This project generally consists of milling approximately 31,800 square yards of pavement and the placing 4300 tons of new asphaltic pavement on various streets in the Village of Pelham Manor, Village of Pelham & Village of Larchmont. Additional work includes the installation of approximately 55 ADA compliant curb ramps and pavement striping. The Contractor shall be aware that in addition to the streets in the Village of Pelham Manor, streets in the other municipalities will be resurfaced in compliance with the contract conditions as described within the Village of Pelham Manor Specifications and as noted anywhere in these Specifications. The limits of paving within added municipalities are shown on attached sheets. The Contract guarantee period of one year from the completion date will be monitored and handled by each Municipality separately and not the Village of Pelham Manor. Two Municipalities are partnering with the Village of Pelham Manor in the 2022 Project: The Village of Pelham and The Village of Larchmont.
Each partnering Municipality is financially responsible for its program. Each Municipality will separately award their respective portions of this contract based upon the estimated quantities, available budgets and as deemed in the best interest of their respective Village. Each bidder must deposit with their bid a certified check of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a recognized Bonding Company, or a bid bond with a Bonding Company Licensed to do business in the State of New York, in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Said deposit will be considered as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and furnish the necessary bonds and insurance for the work, if awarded to them, and will be forfeited to the Village of Pelham Manor, Village of Pelham, and Village of Larchmont as liquidated damages if he fails to do so, within the specified time. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder pursuant to the provisions of the General Municipal Law. The Village Board(s) reserves the right to determine responsibility based on an evaluation of the Contractor's qualifications, experience, organization, finances, past performance, and other applicable factors.
