Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and multi-residential development.
Plans may result in construction of a new two-bay fire station adjacent to the historic Armour Block located at, 15 4th Street NE. Other work would include interior and exterior renovations and restoration of the existing Armour Block; updates to the existing affordable housing units; and preparation of the basement and main floor for future use. Project phasing: Phase 1a Technical feasibility study; Phase 1b Fire Station design and contract administration; Phase 1b Occupancy; Phase 2 Rehabilitation of the Armour Block - TBD. Phase 3 Renovations to the existing affordable housing - TBD Phase 4 Improvements and upgrades to the main floor and basement - TBD. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual. Timelines for design and construction to be determined. Further update may be available in 2026. *Construction budget to be confirmed. *Estimated budget for consulting services for Phase 1a is $125,000, for Phase 1b is $900,000, and $1,500,000 for future phases. For a total potential spend of up to $2,700,000 with GST.
