Sing Sing is looking for bidders to conduct electrical switchgear testing in Westchester County. Bidders must attend a mandatory site visit and submit all forms. The facility is powered via three (3) incoming electrical services. The incoming service is 13200 volts which is stepped down to 208 volts via Con Edison owned network transformers coupled to low voltage network protectors. This 208 Volt service is then fed to the facility via two (2) 3000A bolted pressure switches which power two (2) 1000KVA oil filled transformers which step the power up to 2400 Volts which is then distributed throughout the facility via the main switchgear located in the front of the facility. The outdoor metal clad walk-in switchgear consists of (2) main breakers, (6) feeder breakers, (1) generator breaker and (1) bus-tie breaker and (3) spares. The breakers are General Electric AM4.16-250-8H air magnetic circuit breakers. Protective devices (relaying) consist of twenty-four (24) General Electric Type IAC overcurrent relays, two (2) ICR directional relays and (1) undervoltage relay. All equipment is to be serviced using this listed scope of work. EQUIPMENT TO BE SERVICED: (13) 5kV Air magnetic circuit breakers. (27) Protective relays (2) 3000A load break switches (2) 208V-2400V 1000KVA oil filled transformer. Contractor to provide generators and connect to critical buildings to maintain power during service, may have to be done during off hours. To be coordinated by the facility.
