Renovation of a laboratory facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,230-square-foot, three-story above grade laboratory facility.
Seneca's School of Biological Sciences and Applied Chemistry (BSAC) new research laboratory space will be located within the Stephen E. Quinlan Building of the Seneca at York Campus, located at 70 The Pond Road. The primary function of the Bio-Chemistry lab is for applied research. Research activities include capstone projects, in-course student research, and industry partnerships or collaboration. Seneca's objective for this project is to renovate approximately 3230 square feet of existing space to accommodate the new research lab which will include: 1. Instrumentation Area; 2. Bio-Safety Level 2 Lab; 3. Air Lock Room; 4. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Mobile Instrumentation Space (closed off space); 5. Cannabis Holding Storage & Controlled Substance Room; 6. Collaboration Space; 7. Analysis & Reporting Area; 8. Locker area.
