Site work and paving for a civil project in Homeland, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Per Hofstadter & Associates Inc. "City of Homeland decided they had to change the bid. I have not sent plans to any contractors so we won't be submitting an addendum at this time. If you will just make sure that date is corrected to September 22, same time." The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following: Roadway construction, including traffic control, erosion control measures, and construction of +- 4.16 Lin. Miles of mainline roadway grading, , +- 31,000 SY of graded aggregate base course, 5,685 TN of 9.5 mm RAC superpave asphalt, signage, striping, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work on the Project must be completed within 210 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. All contracts are subject to Federal and State contract provisions prescribed by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, as amended and Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with Homeland prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to Homeland, for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Homeland reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals. The City of Homeland is committed to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. This contract opportunity is a Section 3 Covered Contract. Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. The City of Homeland also abides by the following laws as they pertain to HUD Assisted Projects: Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Title 1; Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (Fair Housing Act); Section 104(b)(2) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended; Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA); and the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968.
