Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Armstrong, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The project involves the demolition and hazardous materials removal of the existing gymnasium, gym storage, change rooms, and an exterior entrance canopy at Pleasant Valley Secondary School in Armstrong B.C. The gymnasium wing is attached to the main school building, and as such will require selective demolition methodology at the juncture between the demolition area and the remaining structure. Minor construction of temporary shoring and demising walls will be required. The main structural materials are concrete foundations/slabs; concrete block walls; structural steel roof incl. steel columns and beams, open web steel joists, and steel decking. Approximate demolition area is 1,300m2. To summarize, the scope of work will include, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Hazardous Materials Removal Bulk Building Demolition Selective Demolition Site demolition including concrete sidewalks, planters, and soft landscaping elements. Cutting and capping of services Minor construction for temporary shoring, roof curb, and temporary demising walls.
