The Scope of Work Includes: Resurfacing Improvements to Crystal Lake Road (Project begins at the Turner County Line and ends at SR 32. Total resurfacing is 7.27 miles.) The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Irwin County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. Bids from non-certified Bidders will not be considered. The Contractor shall be a current '93Prequalified Contractor '94 with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration or shall be approved in writing by the Irwin County Board of Commissioners prior to bids being opened. A copy of the Contractor'92s '93Notice of Contractor Qualification '94 as issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation or a copy of an approval letter from the Irwin County Board of Commissioners must be submitted with the bid. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, applicable Supplemental Specifications, 2016 Edition and any Special Provisions or other provision contained within this contract will be applicable to this project. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids.
