Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Leicester, Massachusetts. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Town of Leicester is seeking bids for Class I Bituminous Concrete pavement, including berms, curbing, and driveways. Work consists of furnishing and placing of hot bituminous concrete pavement and berms into the work at locations as directed by the Superintendent or Foreman. This pavement shall be machine laid in two (2) courses consisting of a leveling course and a top course one and one-half (1 1/2) inch in compacted thickness or as directed by the Superintendent or Foreman. The work shall include roadways, sidewalks, berms, driveways, walks, parking areas and any other paved areas encountered in the work. Resurfacing will not be strictly limited to the areas disturbed, when in the judgment of the Superintendent or Foreman, an expansion of the work is necessary for proper restoration. Each bidder shall enclose with the bid an acceptable bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid's value on the form specified. The Town of Leicester reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding and to make the award as appears to the best interests of the Town.
