Any bid received later than this will be returned unopened. Items to be bid are as follows: 1) Hauling of 2,500 (+ or -) tons of dewatered sludge. 2) Landfill Permit Modification Application. 3) Landfill disposal of 2,500 (+ or -) tons of dewatered sludge. 4) Landfill disposal and hauling of 30 (+ or -) 4 cu yd container loads of grit and screenings. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on a standard bid form provided by the BOROUGH. Certified checks or bid bonds of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them upon selection of the successful bidder. Each bid, bid bond or certified check shall be securely sealed in an envelope and clearly marked "SEALED PROPOSAL - CONTRACT 429-2022-01, HOLLIDAYSBURG BOROUGH SLUDGE HAULING AND DISPOSAL BID." No bidder may withdraw his bid until a period of sixty (60) days following the date set for receiving bids. The BOROUGH reserves the right to hold any and all bids for a period of not more than sixty (60) days, and all bids shall be and remain valid and in full force and effect during said period. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder provided; however, the BOROUGH reserves the right to reject any or all bids in part or in whole, and to waive any informalities.
