The City of Carlsbad is requesting proposals from qualified firms to conduct a Facility Condition Assessment and Facility System Asset Inventory. The Facility Condition Assessment will assist the city in identifying potential annual funding levels for the Facilities Maintenance Division, and prioritizing capital improvements/major repairs necessary to maintain the facilities at a desired service level. Additionally, the data from the Facility System Asset Inventory will be imported into the city's new Enterprise Asset Management software to track asset conditions, work history and replacement costs. The most recent citywide facility condition assessment, assessing only some of the city facilities, was performed in 2011. Copies of the relevant portions of the 2011 assessment will be posted at Contracting & Purchasing | Carlsbad, CA (carlsbadca.gov) to provide prospective respondents to this RFP a general understanding of the complexity of this project. However, the City of Carlsbad does not guarantee the accuracy of any information contained in the reports as equipment and facility conditions have changed. The scope of services requested are described in Exhibit "A" and are intended to summarize the minimum scope of work needed. Respondents may propose additional items for consideration by the city. The city expects to negotiate a complete detailed scope of work and budget for the Facility Condition Assessment and Facility System Asset Inventory through the RFP process.
