The County of Monroe is requesting a proposal from your firm for one new hot water boiler and one new heat exchanger that will serve the facility's domestic hot water supply capacity. The work will include the removal and disposal of the existing hot water boiler and hot water heater. The unit installations will be at on the first floor of the facility within the mechanical room and as shown on the attached facility floor plan. The contractor shall furnish the boiler, associated equipment, materials, labor, rigging services to receive and place boiler in mechanical room and all other necessary services to remove the existing boiler, and install complete the new boiler . This work shall also include properly sizing a heat exchanger to be installed that will supply domestic hot water to the facility by heating domestic water from the newly installed boiler and connect to the domestic piping within the mechanical room to serve the facility. In addition, the project shall include a valve to control and switch the new and existing boilers from lead to lag to supply facility hot water to heat and domestic hot water. The selected contractor shall employ licensed and qualified employees to perform work on the job as needed. This shall also apply to any and all subcontractors for additional tasks including but not limited to: electrical, steel fabrication and installation, pipefitters, crane/rigging services, etc. The County of Monroe reserves the right to accept or to reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities and to make an award that is determined by the County of Monroe to be in the best interest of the County.
