Renovation of an educational facility in Fort Valley, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The historic quadrangle is essential to FVSU's campus identity, and the recent master planning study prioritized improvements to existing academic and student support spaces to revitalize and energize the historic campus core. The project will address critical envelope and systems issues in these buildings, which have not seen major investment in over 40 years. Bywaters and Founders are in the FVSU historic district and part of the northern campus core. While the buildings have had targeted interior renovation in the recent past, significant investment is required to upgrade building systems and alleviate significant envelope issues (e.g. failing windows and water penetration). The preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the project is estimated at $15,000,000.00. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances. c.
