The Town of Newmarket requires the services from a responsible Contractor for the provision of Masonry Restoration and Repairs Services, including all labour, materials and equipment required to complete all assigned tasks and projects. Various Town owned facilities and buildings are constructed with concrete masonry and brick products, which are typically used as exterior rain screen cladding, interior decorative cladding, as well as structural and non-structural wall framing. Aging facilities and the effects of freeze thaw cycles overtime have deteriorated some of the existing brick and concrete masonry units resulting in a need for masonry restoration and repairs services. Brick cladding and masonry unit failure is present at some of the Town owned facilities, such as the Magna Centre, the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex, the Newmarket Museum, the Newmarket Youth Centre, as well as some park washroom buildings. Masonry restoration and repair work is pending budget approval and will be scheduled at as required, upon Council's approval. Masonry repair and restoration work, including associated work, may be required at other facilities than those listed above, as may be requested by the Owner. The facilities, projects, and general scope of work should not be construed as limiting the scope of work of the Contract. The term of the agreement is to be for a period of three (3) years from the Effective Date, with an option in favour of the Owner to extend the agreement on the same terms, conditions and pricing for an additional term of up to two (2), one (1) year optional terms.
