The scope of work includes the remodel of interior spaces to create new classrooms, gender neutral restroom, storage, mechanical room and replace mechanical equipment; replace lighting, building electrical service upgrade, security/electrical/data improvements, flooring replacement, building shell and facade improvements including signage and building painting; exterior picnic table, storage unit, landscape improvements, planters, and irrigation. Basis of Award: The lowest qualified Base Bid price, plus Alternates No. 1 and No.2 (listed here in priority order), until the bid price is less than or equal to the available construction budget. License Required: Class B Contract Days: 175 working days Liquidated Damages: $1,000 per calendar day Bonds: 10% Bid Security; 100% Payment and Performance Bonds Oakland-certified Local Business Requirement: 50% minimum participation (excluding Specialty Items, if any.
