Project Description: FY23 MCA Child Development Center, Aliamanu Military Reservation, Oahu, Hawaii is a design-bid-build construction project to provide a large standard-design Child Development Center (CDC) for children between the ages of six weeks to 5 years of age with adjacent outdoor play areas for children and supporting facilities at Aliamanu Military Reservation. The Child Development Facility includes developmental learning modules, activity areas, an isolation room, changing areas, patron visitor waiting area, administrative support space, staff lounge work room, kitchen, laundry, storage, supply rooms, information systems, fire protection and alarm systems, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) installation, pump house, special foundations, and Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) connection. In addition, the facility will include a playground with age appropriate child development equipment, safety surfacing and fencing. Supporting facilities include site development, utilities and connections, lighting, paving, parking, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, information systems, landscaping, and signage. Supporting facility cost are higher than normal due to steep site conditions and earthwork required. Work will include installation of a video monitoring, alarm and intercom systems for safety. Heating and air conditioning will be provided by self-contained systems. Measures in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Minimum Antiterrorism for Buildings standards will be provided. Comprehensive building and furnishings related interior design services are required. Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided. Cyber Security Measures will be incorporated into this project. Cybersecurity measures will be incorporated into this project. Sustainability/Energy measures will be provided.
