Renovation of a mixed-use development in Exira, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project consists of demolition of four existing heating water unit ventilators (UVs), electrical connections, heating water piping, supply and return ductwork, relief hoods, and exhaust fans within existing Exira Elementary School's gymnasium located at 105 East School Street in Exira, Iowa. UVs will be replaced with new gas-fired direct expansion (DX) rooftop units (RTUs) with new electrical connections, gas piping, and supply and return ductwork. Commencement of the Work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of Exira-EHK Community School District. Bids shall be submitted in duplicate on forms issued by the Architect. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of bids without written consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and/or reject any or all bids when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interests of the Owner. Commencement of the Work will be at the Owner's discretion.
