Demolition, site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Exira, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for the demolition of a municipal facility.

Project consists of façade rehabilitation at multiple existing buildings. The scope of work varies from building to building and the work will generally include historical treatment procedures, selective demolition, cast-in -place concrete, masonry repair and restoration, cement plastering (stucco), metal fabrications, miscellaneous and finish carpentry, building insulation, weather barriers, joint sealants, wood doors and frames, aluminum-framed entrances and storefronts, wood windows, historic wood window restoration, door hardware, glazing, gypsum board , exterior painting, interior painting, and other work as indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work includes historic buildings being reviewed under Section 106 NHPA and HUD regulations for NEPA (24 CFR Part 58.5[b]). The Work will follow historic guidelines established by the Secretary of the Interior and Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The Project to which the construction work covered by this contract pertains is being assisted by the United States of America and Federal Labor Standards Provisions are included in this Contract pursuant to the provisions applicable to such Federal assistance. Related Required Contract Provisions are included , or referenced, in the Project Manual . Work of this Contract is subject to compliance with The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. Project Location: Multiple subject properties in the Exira Downtown District; Exira, Iowa. , the estimated value of the Work is approximately $500,000.00 Front Elevation Masonry: Intense tuck point masonry with appropriate restoration mortar as determined by mortar analysis . Color, texture and chemical composition to be informed by analysis and architect approved. Upper Story Windows: Base bid; to remove existing infill , install new opaque panels, caulk & seal , prep & paint. Add Alt #02 Remove (2) upper story windows; Install new double hung wood windows. Stone: Clean all stone elements & sills, fill gap as required. Storefront: Remove existing storefront; Install new storefront at proposed configuration as noted on the drawings, storefront to be standard bronze aluminum. Glazing to be 1 " insulation glass with low e coating and visible light transmittance of 72% or greater. Storefront Door: Remove existing door; Install new aluminum door & frame with glass panel. Glazing to be 1 " insulation glass with low e coating and visible light transmittance of 72% or greater. Transom: Aluminum framed transom glass to be installed. Transom to be standard bronze aluminum. Glazing to be 1" insulation patterned glass with low e coating and visible light transmittance of 72% or greater. Paint: existing prep & paint stairs Side Elevation Masonry: Intense tuck point masonry with appropriate restoration mortar as determined by mortar analysis. Color, texture and chemical composition to be informed by analysis and architect approved. Parging: Remove and loose parging; install new parging at area designated on elevation drawing, prep & paint. Upper Story Windows: Base bid; to remove existing infill, install new opaque panels, caulk & seal , prep & paint. Add Alt #02 Remove (1 ) upper story window; Install new double hung wood window. Washington - Backyard Repairs - a 1 -story building corner consisting of one bay with small addition to the front facade.
