For Bridge Repairs. This project provides for the Commission to issue Work Authorizations to the Contractor to perform bridge repairs as the need arises. Work items include, but are not limited to: The contract time period will extend from the date of Notice to Proceed to May 31, 2024. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Underdeck Protection Shields Concrete Deck Patching Latex Modified Concrete Deck Patching TechCrete Deck Patching Repair Class AA Cement Concrete Repairs Joint Repairs (Bridge Expansion Joint System or Asphaltic Plug Joint System) Protective Fence Aesthetic Concrete Coating High Strength Fiber Wrap Epoxy - Aggregate Overlay for Bridge Decks Milling and Installation of Concrete Latex Overlay on Bridge Decks PPC Overlay for Bridge Decks Any questions for this project must be submitted electronically in EBS by registered business partners. Miscellaneous repairs may include other types of work that are not associated with the items or work being bid. If the need arises for such work, prices to perform the work will be negotiated with the Contractor for each work authorization. Quantities will be determined with each Work Authorization that is issued. It is understood that the total maximum value of this contract, to the Commission, may not exceed the amount of Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,500,000.00). An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
