The Town of Appomattox is seeking proposals for the evaluation and rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer collection system of the SBR drainage basin in the Town of Appomattox. The Town intends to seek USDA funding for this project and rely on the selected engineering firm to provide support to the Town in obtaining grants and low interest loans to fund the work. The initial work will be to develop an Environmental Report and a Preliminary Engineering Report that will meet the requirements of USDA. The selected firm shall also be required to provide and submit the appropriate applications needed by USDA for this project and assist the Town in developing the necessary documents to support its ability to fund a USDA loan. The selected firm will be expected to work closely with USDA in its review of the Towns application. Once the application receives approval by USDA the selected firm will be responsible for the design and implementation of the proposed I&I rehabilitation of the SBR sanitary sewer system to include construction administration and inspection. Interested firms shall demonstrate their familiarity with the requirements of USDAs grant/loan program and provide examples of successful projects they have completed over the past five (5) years. Interested firms shall also provide resumes and experience profiles for inspection personnel that will be used on the prospective project during construction. In addition, the interested firms shall provide resumes and experience profiles for any subconsultants they plan to use in collecting the field data such a video and/or flow monitoring of the existing collection lines. A minimum of five (5) copies of the firm's proposal shall be provided to the Town of Appomattox. The Town of Appomattox seeks professional engineering services for the developmentofa SSES and I&I Study for its entire sanitary sewer collection system.
