Remodeling of a municipal facility in Tulare, California. Working plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.
As of September 21st, 2022, project rejected all bids. It is expected that the project will be rebid at a later date with a modified scope. California Construction Authority ("CCA") will be receiving sealed bids for the following public works project: Building 3 Remodel Tulare County Fair ESTIMATE CONSTRUCTION: $1,500,000.00 This public works project consists of all labor, equipment, and materials associated with improvements to Building 3 at the Tulare County Fair (Fair). The Bidder is required to possess a California Contractors B License that is active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and throughout the duration of Contract. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY The project scope of work is summarized below, with Engineering and Construction Drawing, along with Project Specifications, included in Appendix B and C, respectively. o Seal Coat Existing Metal Roof o Add new Gutters and Downspouts o Remove existing roofing and add single-ply roofing at Canopies. o Cap and Waterproof existing Roof Ridges and Waterproof existing Roof Ridge Vents, and fill with Full Cavity Closed Cell Poly-Foam and Batt Installation. o Remove existing Roof Mounted Evaporative Coolers and Crubs, Match and replace existing metal roofing. o Add Roof Insulation. Closed cell poly-foam and batt insulation per T24 with black vinyl facing. o Add Wall Insulation. Closed cell poly-foam and batt insulation per T24 with black vinyl facing. o Remove and replace all Exterior Doors and Hardware. o Add new Roll-Up Door at Attic in existing opening, reframe as needed. o Upgrade existing Electrical Panels for new. o Demo and replace Electrical Transformer and Underground, as required. o Install new Fire Sprinkler System and Underground, as needed to connect existing fire loop to Fire Riser and repair, any and all surfaces disturbed to match existing. o Additive Alternates #1: Renovate the Women's Toilet Room to meet Accessibility Standards Per CBC2019 CH 11B. o Additive Alternates #2: Paint Exterior and Interior of Building 3 o Additive Alternates #3: Replace existing exterior Roll-Up Door with insulated roll-up door. o Additive Alternates #4: Replace all storefront glazing with more energy efficient dual paned low E option. o Additive Alternates #5: Demo and replace all other exterior windows and frames with more energy efficient dual paned low E option. o Additive Alternates #6: Remove existing interior side wall wainscot material in Room #101 and replace with Hardie-Board and full cavity insulation, Closed cell poly-foam and batt insulation, per Title 24.E. All wastes to be legal disposed offsite. o Additive Alternates #7: Verify existing parking lot. Re-grade, re-strip, re-pave and provide accessories as needed, to match Detail #1 on Sheet A1.2. o Additive Alternates #8: Renovate the Unisex Restroom #106 to meet Accessibility Standards per CBC2019 CH 11B. Demo, remove, replace, and connect to all existing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical as needed to match layout in Plan Set. The above scope of work is provided as an overview. All bidding and work to be based on attached plans and specifications in Appendix B and C
