Septic Systems at Makemie Park Saxis Road On behalf of the County of Accomack, the Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission (A-NPDC) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified, Virginia-licensed and insured water and sewage contractors. This project is located in the community of Makemie Park on Saxis Road, Temperanceville, VA 23442, just south of Holden's Creek. The present community septic system was installed in 2007. A grant has been obtained for the replacement of the current collective septic system and would provide property owners with their own individual units. Twenty-one (21) individual and distinct properties are included in the Scope of Work for this project. The Scope of Work includes but is not limited to new installation of single-family residential onsite sewage disposal systems as specified by the Eastern Shore Health District permits (included in the bidding documents). Some properties require the removal of trees, as needed, to install each septic system. The County reserves the right to make multiple awards under this IFB. Late bids will be returned unopened. Mailed bids or bids sent by any other delivery service must be received by the due date and time set for receipt of bids. The timekeeping mechanism shall be provided by the Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount equal to 5% of the bid amount. Withdrawal of Bids shall be according to procedure 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia, as amended.
