Renovation of a water / sewer project in Urbana, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,800-square-foot water / sewer project.

The base bid work includes removal of 1,800 SF of the existing fully adhered PVC roofing system in its entirety down to existing concrete deck. The new roofing system shall be a 90 MIL fully adhered EPDM single-ply roof system with extruded metal edge as shown in roof plan. Bid Security: Bid bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Contract Security: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to the Contract Price. Attention of the Bidders is called to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01et seq. The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly rate wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is located. The Contractor will be required to comply with the requirements of the Act. A copy of the current prevailing wage determination is enclosed in the bidding documents. Attention of the Bidders is directed to the fact that the District is not required to pay Federal Excise Tax or State Sales Tax Attention of the Bidders is also called to provisions of the Illinois Human Rights Act dealing with equal employment opportunities (Section 2-105, 775 ILCS 5/2-105. The contract to be entered into shall be conditioned as provided by law. Attention of the Bidder is called to the Provisions of 720 ILCS5/33E-11 requiring all Contractors bidding for public agencies to certify they are not barred from bidding on public Contracts or bid rigging or rotation. Attention of the Bidder is called to the Provisions of 30 ILCS 580 et seq, the Illinois Drug-Free Workplace Act. The Contractor will be required to comply with the requirements of the said Act The Urbana & Champaign Sanitary District, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without consent of the Urbana & Champaign Sanitary District, for a period of sixty (60) days. Contractor will commence the work required by the Contract Documents within ten days after the date of the Notice to Proceed weather permitting, and shall substantially complete the work within 365 calendar days there after. Final completion of the work shall be 395 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed
