WSA would like to increase its existing coverage of wetland and drainage inventory information in Saskatchewan. A third party consultant is currently delineating wetland and drainage features in this years (FY2022-2023) and may do the same next year (FY2023-2024) by digitizing stereo colour aerial photography acquired recently by the Province of Saskatchewan. The successful respondent will carry out QA/QC of the wetland and drainage inventory currently being captured in this year and may be capturing next year by a third party consultant. The successful respondent will provide the QA/QC results back to the map production process to improve accuracy, ensuring the mapping program is controlled and consistency is maintained in the final product, and deliverables meet data quality standards. QA/QC of wetland and drainage inventory will be conducted for an estimated area up to 21,060 square kilometres ("sq. km") this year, which will start immediately. QA/QC work for inventory to be collected in next year for a total of 20,490 sq.km. may be added subject to successful completion of this years works. Both areas are shown in Appendix E map under legend title Year 2 (FY2022-2023) and Year 3 (FY2023-2024) respectively. The exact size of the coverage area will be adjusted based on the cost per square kilometre and the available budget. The work is anticipated to start in August 2022. The work for 21,060 sq.km and 20,490 sq.km. must be completed by March 8, 2023, and 2024 respectively. WSA is a Treasury Board Crown corporation within the meaning of The Crown Corporations Act, 1993 (Saskatchewan) that is governed by The Water Security Agency Act (Saskatchewan). WSA is responsible for water management in the Province of Saskatchewan, which includes managing the Province's water supply, protecting water quality, ensuring safe drinking water and the treatment of wastewater, reducing flood and drought damage, protecting aquatic habitat, and managing 72 dams and related supply channels.
