Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

DESCRIPTION A. The work specified herein consists of replacing a failed air conditioner compressor and recharging the system which services the elevator controls room in the Maritime Museum. Work is to be performed by a Contractor licensed in the State of California. 1.02 LOCATION A. The worksite is located at the San Francisco Maritime Museum complex, 900 Beach Street, San Francisco, California. 1.03 GENERAL CONDITIONS AND INFORMATION A. The Maritime Museum building is owned by the Department of Interior, National Park Service, herein after called NPS, and is maintained by the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, (SAFR). B. Any particulars described for the work involved is given for guidance to the Contractor, however, the Contractor is to take his own measurements, dimensions and counts, and is responsible for the same. C. All work described in this specification is for replacing and charging the air conditioner servicing the elevator controls room in the Maritime Museum. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the provisions of the NPS Contract and Scope of Work. Additional work that will result in additional cost shall be carried out only when authorized in writing by the Contracting Officer. D. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing and disposing of any debris from the work area at the Museum Building utility room by the Contractor during the workday. F. The Contractor shall immediately notify the Contracting Officer of any ambiguities, inconsistencies and errors discovered in this specification or between contracting documents and existing conditions. SPECIAL WORK REQUIREMENTS A. This service will be being conducted within a National Park, which will open daily, that requires activities to be carefully coordinated with the Contracting Officer as follows: 2 o Contractor shall at all times conduct his operations to ensure the inconvenience to park visitors and employees who work within the area are at a minimum. o Confine storage of materials to area designated by Contracting Officer. o Store materials in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, with seals and labels intact and legible. o Contractor is encouraged to obtain materials in biodegradable or recyclable/reusable packaging. o Remove from the area daily all oily rags, waste and other combustibles not in a covered metal container/ s from the area daily to prevent fire hazard. o Ensure that all surfaces contacted by effluent as a result of this work as well as contact by Contractor's equipment and supplies are cleaned and sanitized as needed. Some wells will require extended lengths of hose to access wells. Areas traversed include (but not limited to) carpet, linoleum, concrete and tile. Any visible traces of effluent must be addressed by Contractor REPLACE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR AND RECHARGE SYSTEM SERVICING ELEVATOR CONTROLS ROOM AT SAN FRANCISCO MARITIME NHP (SAFR)" The work specified in the Scope of Work (SOW) consists of replacing a failed air conditioner compressor and re-charging the system which services the elevator controls room in the Maritime Museum. Work is to be performed by a Contractor licensed in the State of California. Per the requirements of FAR 36.204, the project range is estimated to be Less Than $25,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, with a corresponding Size Standard of $16.5 million in annual gross receipts for the past three years. This acquisition is a Total Small Business set-aside. All responsible sources with Small Business status may submit a quotation which, if timely received, will be considered. Offers received from concerns that are not Small Business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected. The Government intends to award a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract. Award selection will be made on a Best Value basis after consideration of price and factors other than price (Technical Capability, CA Contractor License and Past Performance) as listed in the Request For Quotation (RFQ)/Solicitation. See Terms and Conditions (Contract Clauses), Section M, for the Evaluation Factors for Award. Interested contractors are highly encouraged to conduct a site visit, per FAR 36.523. Participants must provide their own personal protective equipment including facial coverings. SAFETY AND HEALTH PLAN: Work performed under this contract shall comply with applicable federal, state, and local safety and occupational health laws and regulations, including adherence to any local government health orders in effect to reduce the rate of transmission of Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). This includes but is not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, 29 CFR, Part 1910 and Part 1926. Where the requirement of applicable laws, criteria, ordinances, regulation, and referenced documents vary the most stringent requirements shall apply. See the Scope of Work (SOW), Terms and Conditions (Contract Clauses), and all attachments to this RFQ/Solicitation for information and requirements. ALL QUESTIONS, REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AND/OR CLARIFICATION are DUE on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 3:00 PM (PD).
