Site work for a water / sewer project in Topeka, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement of approximately 4,950 LF of 8" and 6" waterline by HDD and/ or conventional excavation and backfill. The project also includes the replacement of water services, valves, fittings, fire hydrants, and other miscellaneous appurtenances for the waterlines located on SW 25th Street between SW Pepperwood Court and SW Wanamaker Road and located on SW Villa West Drive between SW 27th Street and SW 29th Street. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including alternates), made payable to the City of Topeka, Kansas. The original bid security shall be in the office of Contracts and Procurement before the 2:00 closing date. Bid Submittal requirements are explained in the Instructions to Bidders. All persons seeking to enter into a contract with the City shall submit an acceptable affirmative action program in accordance with Section 2.135.130 of the Code of the City of Topeka, Kansas. Bidders shall take note of requirements for notification of MBE's and WBE's as stated in paragraph 24 of the Instruction to Bidders.
