As of October 28, 2022, a design engineer has been selected. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference JVWCD was created under the Water Conservancy Act as a political subdivision of the State of Utah. JVWCD was organized as a regional water supply agency to develop a water supply for rapidly growing areas outside of the Salt Lake City service area. JVWCD currently serves as a wholesale supplier to 17 member agencies and also operates a retail distribution system in several parts of Salt Lake County. In 2020, JVWCD delivered approximately 120,000 acre-feet of municipal and industrial water to its wholesale and retail customers. In order to support growing peak day demands, and enable treatment of the new ULS supply, the District is pursuing an expansion of the JVWTP from its current 180 MGD capacity to an ultimate capacity of 255 MGD. We have organized the various elements of the expansion into multiple projects, some of which are combined with other equipment replacement or seismic upgrade projects. This subject project addresses seismic vulnerabilities and capacity limitations in sedimentation basins 1&2 which ranked as a high priority project in the District's Hazard Mitigation Plan. The scope includes full demolition of sedimentation basins 1&2, construction of new sedimentation basins with plate settler equipment and building enclosure for winter operations and related new sludge collection equipment.
