Bids came in over budget. There will be changes to the scope of work and a new IFB will be put out in the coming weeks. If the bid amount is over $25,000, a payment bond in an amount equal to 50% of the total amount of the contract price with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all responses, wholly or in part, and to accept bids only in the best interest of the Town. The Town reserves the right to waive minor informalities. The Select Board is the awarding authority. contracted services for the construction of a footbridge across Pond Brook Immediately after the deadline for submission, all bids will be publicly opened and read out loud. The Town reserves the right to amend this IFB at any time prior to the deadline for submission of bids, to reject any and all bids received, and to re-advertise for new bids if determined to be in the best interest of the Town. The Town reserves the right to waive minor informalities. All questions regarding the meaning or intent of this IFB shall be directed electronically to the Town Managers Office, at the following email: tmaa@westfordma.gov. Questions must be submitted prior to 8:30 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
